Full Bio

Tri-Cultural, Bi-Coastal, Multi-faceted

VictoriaKeumJeeCasualCouch.JPG

Victoria Keum Jee is a multi-ethnic actress, writer, producer, director and musician whose work is grounded in authenticity and lived experience.  Her creative perspective is shaped by stories centered on identity, resilience and human connection.  She is driven to championing AAPI voices and underrepresented stories and to creating work that connects, builds and resonates with truth and impact.

She was born in Seoul South Korea, adopted as a baby and grew up on the south shore of Boston Massachusetts.

She spent 5 years living in Nashville.  During her time in Nashville Victoria expanded her work beyond performance and became deeply involved in building creative community.  She is the co-founder of Nashville Creative Culture, a monthly networking group that brings together creatives from all areas of the industry for a social mixer focused on collaboration and connection.  The group has partnered with other creative organizations and emerging film productions, and has sponsored local film events.  Nashville is also where Victoria saw her first works as a director and some of her written pieces adapted into film, as well as where she began her journey on the film festival circuit. (*see Awards and Accolades section)

Victoria has studied music and musical theater, with formal training in classical piano and voice, as well as improv, dramatic acting, dance and action/fight/martial arts.  Music remains an integral part of her creative process, influencing her storytelling, performance, and sense of rhythm across disciplines.  She has two singles that she wrote, self produced, and released during the 2020 Pandemic.

Her personal experiences as an adoptee, along with her journey through addiction, SA, and suicidal ideation, inform her work with honesty and care.  These experiences guide her storytelling with intention, emphasizing healing, survival and emotional depth

Currently she resides in Los Angeles with her two Shihtzus.  She is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and Women in Film LA.
